Hi folks. No questions tonight as such, but some info on the new game that I'm hoping to get set up in the next few weeks.
It's another charity fundraiser - basically I'm running the London Marathon in April and would like to raise a bit of money for Cancer Research UK. So you'll just need to make a donation to my fundraising page if you want a team and that'll be it. Amounts etc. to follow.
There will be a random draw for teams, I've not totally decided whether squads will be completely true to real life as we will need some way to make your starting positions more even. Anyway, info on that in the days to come. Turns will be on Monday and Thursday and game will be email only.
As the game will be a bit different I'll be producing a newsletter, maybe fortnightly, for the game and there will be a few slightly different rules to try to encourage the game to stick - a limit on transfers with unmanaged teams coupled with regular newsletter auctions (basically we'll list some players from unmanaged teams in the newsletter and hold various types of auction of those players - hopefully including a live auction night online every month or two). That way hopefully players move around and cash has some actual value (it should follow that it would be worth selling for cash as you then have the opportunity to buy a quality player for cash in return).
I'm open to other new rules and ideas - as I said last week this is the place for you to suggest them. Any thoughts?
