Now i fully understand that feeder teams make Neil money and as a result will not be going anywhere anytime soon... However i do think there should be some kind of restriction on the players who can play for a feeder side.
In game 99 i noticed that one of my Germany side is currently at a feeder team... The guy is 25 years old, 84ov Midfielder! I personally know that this is a clear case of hoarding, and i know it isnt the only instance. Several decent 81/82ov players are languishing in feeders sides... Players who could help to build up new teams. For an 84ov player to be at a feeder is a disgrace... Not to mention the fact that the feeder team in question also has a player trainable to 83ov! I'm sorry but i do not put that down to managers being good because they can afford to put these players away in the bottom division... Something has to change!
So... I would like to suggest a Overall cap on Feeder sides to ensure that talented players aren't left to rot in the lower leagues while new managers struggle to sign players. The limit would be database 80ov (training to 81). When i player increased to DB 81ov+ the feeder's manager would have 2-3 turns to transfer the player to the main squad or face them being lost to the auction list with a 0.00 start price.
I know people with feeders will complain and i don't care. If the top 25-rated feeder players were put together in a new team in Game 99, they would make a very good starter team for a new manager... Or if they were treated as what they are to their managers (surplus) then other managers could have a chance to try and sign them.
Thoughts below please.
