After extensive negotiations an agreement has been reached between F.C. Bayern Munchen and Real Madrid C.F. for the transfers of Manuel Neuer, Joe Hart and Kevin Prince Boateng.
German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer will leave Bayern Munich for The Bernabeu, with England international Joe Hart taking up the number one position at The Allianz. As well as an additional payment of eight million pounds Ghana midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng will return to Bayern, in an effort to provide much needed cover in midfield.
The Manager said ‘The club wanted to keep Manuel here, as he’s a top quality goalkeeper. However as contract discussions dragged on it became clear that he wanted a move away, and we had to accept that. We would like to thank Manuel for his loyal service and wish him the very best in the next chapter of his career.’
‘I am very confident that Joe will provide us with the best possible replacement for Manuel’ the Manager commented about his new number one. ‘He is an excellent goalkeeper, one of the very best young keepers in the World, and he has the potential to get even better.’
‘With regards Boateng he was here at the club a number of season’s ago but things just didn’t work out at the time. Now though, after his experience in Spain, Kevin has shown that he has the ability to be a valuable part of this squad. When he became available the club knew they had to try and get him involved as part of the Neuer Hart deal.’
‘I think it’s good business all round, being honest. Real get a keeper of undisputable quality and, I think at least, we’ve got the best possible deal in return, taking into account the talent of the two players coming into our ranks.’
‘Hart will go straight into our squad for Tuesday’s matches against Koln and Napoli, in the FA Cup, while Boateng needs a little more time in training before making his second debut for us.’
