SEASON LONG LOAN
There seems to be an agreed rule, particularly in Game 64, about Feeder Teams and having a second team also so what would managers think about the creation of a season long loan?
The provision of a season long loan would offer the player the chance for games, keeping his fitness, morale and his ability up. At the end of the day that’s the whole reason managers’ are interested in having Feeder and second teams, for the most part in any case.
Just giving it a little thought I imagine that the following points would need to be agreed for it to work. A season long loan;
- would be applicable from the week agreed up to and including Week 22, with the player reverting back to his parent team at that stage, before the group stage of the Super Cup.
- requires a loan fee to be paid to the parent club, which is dependant on the stature and stats
- would be reversed if;
- either of the teams become unmanaged, at which point the player would return to his parent club
- the parent club provides two turns notice of the cancellation of the loan, at which point the player returns, at which point financial penalties take place; reimbursement of the full loan fee, including interest accrued on same
- the loan club requests the cancellation of the loan, at which point financial penalties take place; possibly the remainder number of weeks wages being paid out in any case
- would have to be agreed by Mr. Necom, to prevent clubs with close ties dealing outside the ‘Spirit Of The Game’; i.e. a highly rated player couldn’t spend a season on loan, the aim of the season long loan is the provide youth and fringe players with opportunities
- would be limited to two players per club, which is not regenerated upon cancellation, regardless of what happens
I’m sure that managers will have their own thoughts on the pros and cons of players being available on a season long loan, and that’s the reason for this thread. Just as I am sure there will be managers steadfastly against the idea.
But it’s only an idea, hence the thread as I only want your thoughts on it.
Please keep your comments to constructive and productive, instead of disparaging and critical. Basically if you want to make smart commentary just don’t bother, please.
Cheers for taking the time to read this thread,
Please let me know what you think,
Gerard
