Wolves Chairman Steve Morgan tonight issued the following statement :
Mr Rathey has been a loyal and fantastic servant to the club over the years, bringing many trophies to the Molineux. The very 1st season was incredible - who would of thought he would of delievered a Treble?
Craig has took this club in the right direction, and narrowly missed out on Champions League victory last season, something which we think may have affected the players this term.
The club are currently 11th in the table, and favourites to finish bottom. This is not the standards that the club laid out for this season, and although Rathey can still deliever the UEFA Cup and one domestic trophy, it it not acceptable at the moment.
The board has issued a Vote of Confidence ahead of this weeks match at home to Fulham, and we expect results to improve immediately.
The board will be reviewing Mr. Rathey contract at the end of the season.

Wolves fans are in mixed emotions about this, with many regarding Rathey as the 2nd best manager of all time - just behind legendary Jamie Maycroft.
Rathey commented on the news "We will go down, I fully expect Wigan, Dundee Utd, Millwall to finish above us, and those looking over their shoulds likes Aston Villa will do enough to be safe. I can only hope that the board look favourable towards me. If we avoid relegation it will be a major miracle, and will prove that the other team's managers are too inexperienced for a relegation dogfight."
Many pundit's believe Rathey is admitting defeat in his battle to stay in the top flight, but Rathey said "We said weeks ago we would go down, but have given ourselves a glimmer of hope. We'll see who has the bottle now."
