Hi guys, there's a few points on here that I'm going to raise for discussion, if I'm mad just tell me
1) Attendances - Maybe it's just my perception, but they seem to be a lot lower than what they should be for league matches? In the past turn in G64, none of the sides in Serie A topped 50,000 attendance - and in G1, The highest was 64,000 for a top of the table clash at Bayern (I'm pretty sure their stadium is 70k+) and the next highest was 56k for Real v PSG with both in the top 5. My suggestion is that they should reflect real life a bit more in terms of stadium sellouts - fair enough if a side is underperforming then not as many may turn up, but if it were a stock number for example, Serie C 25-35k, B 35-55k and A/Premier Division 55k minimum but can actually hit the 100k Nou Camp sellout, as it does for the big games.
2) I was surpsied to find out today about the debt situation and it not really having any effect whatsoever on the club that falls in to debt. When I played Necom all those years back, it used to be a genuine concern to go over £5m in the red, for fear of your star man being sold without your authorisation. My thought/suggestion is that this should be brought back in to effect, but maybe have the debt limit raised slightly to £10m. That way, it gives clubs the time they need to offload a player or 2 but doesn't mean they happily sit in debt for the whole season. The follow on from this, is that if you are in debt, any bid for a player that is REQ'D of value or more, should be automatically accepted by the board to ensure you do not get yourself in to any more trouble, with the player ultimately going to the highest bidder when offers are made.
3) This one is not mine, so credit must go to Gerard for raising the point to me this morning (I hope you don't mind me adding it on here!), I hadn't really thought about it. Player contracts. When a player is signed, they are put on a contract that is not even 1 season long (20 weeks.) Realistically, they should be signed for at least a season and a half (33 weeks) or, what would be better is if once purchased, they went on to 40 or 44 weeks. This would stop you needing to sign a player, and then pay potentially 2 signing on fees to said player in the space of 10-15 turns.
4) 7 Subs is something I think that's in the pipeline from a previous post I made?
5) Following on from #4, more substitute options rather than just being able to make a maximum of 2 per game. Could be difficult to code if an injury occured after the 3rd substitute though? I'm not up to speed on that sort of thing so not sure how it could affect the match engine if a side went down to 10 men like that.
Let me know what you all think, and if I'm going mad!
