I've been in Necom about 4 or 5 weeks now, and I am beginning to settle in. I am not doing too well in bring in the players I want on the transfer market, but that is all part and parcel of the game.
I just really wanted to comment on the layout of the turn, and some improvements/suggestions that could be taken into account.
Opening the turn, I would rather see the match reports and the accountants information before I see the squad list. All the exitement as to how the auction processed work is dumbed down when I see the player appear on my squadsheet beforehand. Could the order of the pages that are printed be changed?
On the squad sheet, would it be possible to have the full stats of the injured players?
Transfer Information
It is good how the outcome of your bids are listed, but if bids are unsuccessful, would it be possible to actually tell us who got the player we so desperately wanted, and how much for? This would also help the clubs in the game to pick up on any potential dodgy dealing, and help us to calculate the going rate for players. Perhaps this could be included om the Market/Auction/OOC list pages? Also, how about a loan list?
Youth Coach Report
I think its good that there are youth squads, but I don't like the idea of paying 20p everytime I want to have a look at them. Couldn't this information be included at the bottom of the squad list?
General Results/Messages Page
The information on there is useful, but the text could be layed out much better. Do we really need the contact and email list every week? Same with teams available? 1 in 4 should suffice and would create much more space to get the other information on.
Sponsor List
As handy as the extra money is, I did begrudge paying the 20p for about 10 lines of text, particularly as the Coca-Cola deal has a figure missing, it looks like it could be 100k pw but reads 0k pw!
I'm not sure what everyone else thinks, but if some of the chargable features were worked into the game, I'd be happy to pay a higher turnfee as a result.
Please don't shoot me down in flames, because I do feel that this is essentially a good game with potential, which also has some unique features. I also appreciate that it is easy to make suggestions, but tougher to actually programme them in.
